For thousands of years the world has remained completely flooded, a sleeping, immaculate blue marble in a black sea. The survivors of the flood have made a meager living in large ships, some rivaling the size of small cities. So much has passed in this new world that some don't even believe there ever was any such thing as land. Little do they realize the earth is always changing, and a great new shift is underway.

When new land does emerge for the first time in millennia, what were once mountaintops in the old world poking through the surface to become new islands, the prospect of humanity returning to their true home is an exciting one. It is a time of opportunity like none alive have ever seen. The world is waking up. For most, however, this prospect may be too good to be true. The notorious Barrakuda gang, led by the Pirate Queen herself, has been hired by the elites of the world to keep the new land off-limits to all others. The pirates' army is vast in number, and spearheaded by monstrous cyborg warriors shaped in the image of terrifying sea creatures, unflinchingly dedicated to the Queen and her whims.

As things stand, the pirates cannot be defeated through force or numbers. It may fall upon one girl to find another way to secure a future for the people of a world turning itself inside out.

Planet Ripple Minnow World Vol2 eBook Nicholas Anderson Reviews

After a smooth introduction in volume one, the action ramps up while retaining the humanity that has set this story apart. Not only is it well written, but also well-drawn.

One thing in particular I've noticed while reading is that the author/artist, Mr Anderson, has a skill with conveying facial expressions, and this can be seen all throughout both books.

I eagerly wait to see what Minnow gets up to next.
As if Part 1 didn't have enough excitement in it, Part 2 really delivers. By now you know Minnow and everything she carries with her, despite the fact she has cyborg arms and legs, and struggles to understand the nuances of the world around her because her brain is wired just a little different from most folks. Minnow is autistic but she is *not* disabled as society might label her. In fact, what makes her different is exactly what makes her the hero that Planet Ripple needs. Minnow is the new kind of heroine that we've been waiting for-- the one the reader can relate to, whether or not they are on the autism spectrum. Who hasn't felt the things she feels? Who hasn't been treated like that at some point in their life, be it in childhood or adulthood?

Planet Ripple is a rare find in a graphic novel world of "more of the same"….this story is different and worth a read. Don't let the cartoon-ike drawings fool you, this is a deep, serious story and it will get you thinking. Do you know someone like Minnow? I can't wait to read the rest of the story!
Okay, lets do this. I- GingerGorilla- just had to share my love for this series in a review after finishing this book. I want to be an author myself, so this series automatically piqued my interest. before we get to the actual review, i will talk about the physical quality of the book itself first.

First off, the book is absolutely huge. 8.0 x 11.0 letter sized to be precise. You are paying a fair price for the amount of paper used alone. The cover is nice and glossy and has great art as usual. It is made in the USA, so I am glad about that. No mention of Createspace, but that is fine. The book is about half an inch thick, so again, you do get a lot of pages. Unfortunately, you don't know how much, because their is no page numbers. That is real annoying, especially when writing a review and you want to reference things. Whatever, just a nitpick. The interior pages are not glossy, but that would probably make this cost around $40, so I am not complaining. The colors do look good. All in all, physically, it is quality made, and you are getting your money's worth.

Now, to the juicy stuff. The actual review We start off with Dr. Weever and the captain talking about minnow and all the crap that she's been through, and how they blame themselves for what happened to her on the Balena. This is good character development, and comes into play later. We meet a new character, Dani, who is Minnow's friend and technician for the Dauphin. We soon meet Admiral Sturgeon, who you think is just a jerk at first, but you do come to like him. He is critical of the Dauphin program, thinks that it cannot stand up to the pirates. Interestingly, he thinks that Onora is taking advantage of Minnow. Just as a side note, we don't see Hack or Barracuda, which sucks, because Hack is freaking awesome. We meet Lubor Rezic, a pirate warlord, which has the coolest pirate body to date. Its basically a giant lobster with a four barreled Gatling gun, and some type of wrecking hand, my favorite was the mourning star. More action, but it makes sense coming off vol.1, so great payoff! Great action, great ship designs, great everything! Seeing Minnow's mentality is also great, and feels authentic because it is!

Pros
